01: Intro
Introduction
For this project I will be creating a 3D environment. The idea came to me after creating a mechanical sword that was inspired by postapocalyptic games such as: Fallout, Dying light and Dead Rising.
This aim of the sword was to model a game prop that would look like it was made out of different parts. To improve my texturing, modelling skills and to work with a 3d asset using multiple udims to improve texture resolution.
The aim for this project is to create an environment in which the sword would be displayed, as if the person that lived there created it to make it part of his journey.
To improve my knowledge in environment making, scene lighting, game prop to game engine, and working from concept to final product. Furthermore, I wanted to learn how to use Substance Designer and its workflow with Substance Painter and to better my knowledge with Unreal Engine and Maya.
I will breakdown the process i went through to achieve the final product. Starting from workflow and individual breakdowns of how i used different software and technique.
